(More customer reviews)This trunk is beautiful in person! It looks like a sturdy, quality piece--definitely looks more expensive than it is. I'm using this as a coffee table in my living room (which is decorated in a modern/sleek style with bold earth tones and natural rattan/wicker accents) and it's just perfect! Some other reviewers said they also use it as a coffee table but that the surface isn't sturdy enough to hold a glass of water so they use coasters, but I found this not to be the case--it's much firmer than I thought and is, in fact, able to safely hold a full glass.
The "lid" opens in hinge form (functions like a door, not like a lid) and the inside is super roomy and allows for a very satisfactory amount of storage.
All in all, gorgeous piece which adds a warm touch to the home, and when you factor in the price, it's really unbeatable.
