(More customer reviews)We needed a living room set in light finish: white, cream, bisque, or maple. These days it is very difficult to find anything else other than dark furniture. We decided to order on line. Big mistake!
We ordered the coffee table, the end tables and the sofa table. One of the items was not available, and waited for several weeks for the items to arrive, which was ok.
When they finally came, we opened one end table and could not believe how bad the finish is: not cream color as the pictures suggest but a dirty, muddy, greenish beige, with crude "carvings" and cheap shiny "accents" smeared all over the legs. The tables are not wood, but some sort of pressed material. And on top of everything else, they came with the wrong hardware; the bolts do not match the threaded pieces in the legs, and the tables cannot be put together.
We wanted to return the items right away, but we cannot get HomeandLiving to initiate the return process.
Usually, I do not write reviews but this time I would feel guilty not to make others aware of how bad this product is.
