It was more difficult to put together than expected - the instructions were fine, but it was hard to get the pieces angled correctly so that they aligned. The pieces looked cheap, though it looked slightly better once it was put together. Because the drawer just sits in the slot with a simple peg to keep it from pulling out all the way, it feels very unstable as you open it.
It is now late September 2009 (too late for a return, not to mention what a hassle that would be for a table you have to assemble yourself). Already the paint/finish is flaking off the edges and the top of the table is cracked in two places. We have two coasters (sometimes with drinks) and the TV remote on top, so I don't believe it is excess weight causing the cracks. We purchased directly through Amazon for about $97; I'm seeing the same table from other vendors (but through Amazon) for anywhere between $65-$140. Even at $65, it isn't worth it. We didn't expect it to last forever, but somehow I thought we'd at least make 10-12 months barring a major mishap. No such luck.
