(More customer reviews)The three tables are fun to have and complete that modern look. They are exactly as pictured and will go nicely in small apartment spaces or as an end table. They are not extremely stable in design as wood, though. It would be fine for putting things on top. I currently have a very heavy lamp on the middle size one and it's fine.
However, some of the nesting tables double as chairs. I use to have some wood ones that were sturdy enough for me to feel very confident standing on them to get to higher shelves. I wouldn't do that with these as the design doesn't allow for that sort of stability except with the smallest table. For a smaller lady to sit on any of them should be fine. One the largest table, it would be wobbly. However, if you have a full size sort of guy, I wouldn't do it. I took one star off because I think most people that get these are space conscious and might be considering these as having a dual purpose in their apartment.

The size was right, the shape was right, the color was right, and the organic looking fitted right to my taste, so, I was very happy when it arrived. On the other hand, I'm not sure about its functionality and stability. If you try and sit on it, you may break it. In fact, you cannot sit on the edge of it because it will tilt having only three tiny feet for the size of the table. Can we use it as an ottoman at least? Probably...but, it will wear out fairly quickly because its surface doesn't seem well-coated for that purpose. For the price, I cannot complain much. Besides, I still LOVE how it looks in my living room. I'm even thinking about getting a glass top cut to the size, so that it improves its stability and functionality.

I sent it back the same day and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement promptly but it had exactly the same problem with damages to the corners in multiple areas. I expected at least that someone will inspect the item carefully before they send it again to me. Not planning to purchase furniture through amazon anymore (first and last experience).

It is sturdy and heavy, though not too heavy for a petite female (me) to lift/move it. It has spacious storage inside, and a soft cushion on top. The assembly took about 1 minute. All you do is screw the legs in the bottom. The color in the picture seems totally accurate too. It matches my dark brown leather couch perfectly!
