(More customer reviews)When the table came, we took it out of the box and noticed that it had parts where the black paint had rubbed off, leaving behind ugly red marks. Some of them appeared to be from where the wood rubbed against the packaging. Also, the front panel piece is partially stapled onto the rest of the table, and it was cracked and coming off. When we contacted the Linon folks, they told us that it was meant to look like that because it is "rustic" and that if they sent us a new one it would just look the same. My boyfriend got some black paint to cover up the red stuff, but it still doesn't look great, and there is a big crack down the front top of the table where the panel piece is coming off.
Also to consider:
- The directions are not good. They are confusing and do not specify what directions wood should be facing.
- The cam locks are very poorly constructed and fragile. They were all stripped during installation.
- The drawers do not pull out smoothly and get stuck.
Overall, we are not very satisfied with this coffee table. It isn't that expensive compared to some others, but I wish we had just gone to Ikea and gotten something we expected to be crappy at a lower price. Normally I don't complain much about these kinds of things, but this table is particularly cheap looking and I would not recommend it.
