(More customer reviews)I took a chance buying this product since no one had yet written a review, and it appeared that Amazon was the only US seller of this product. As it turned out it was a good choice, I have owned several electric pepper mills, all were functional, but cheap looking, and none lasted very long. In each case the motor finally wore out.
The Zassenhaus from Kuchenprofi Weimar is gracefully styled and has that unmistakable feel of quality as soon as you pick it up. It arrived full of peppercorns and even included six Energizer alkaline AAA batteries. The motor is exceptionally smooth and quiet, without the grinding sound of all my previous mills. It has a large dial on the bottom to adjust the fineness of the ground pepper.
The only question is how long it will last, but if the 25 year warranty on the ceramic grinding burr is any clue, I suspect that it will be around for a long time.
