(More customer reviews)Product description is misleading. Says it will never rust therefore ideal for outdoor use ( I used mine on a nearly enclosed balcony). They are right it doesn't rust, even worse, it oxidizes and corrodes (like a battery). This oxidation process then breaks through the finish, causing it to slough off/peel in large pieces, exposing the white oxidized aluminum underneath. What I experienced was actually confirmed by the company when I called. Unfortunately, I was a couple of months beyond my warranty. So if $1000.00+ is not unreasonable for a piece of furniture (I bought six) that will only last 5 years, then buy it. I only wish I had this review, or better yet, the company had stated in their brochure "not suited for coastal environments" like they said when I called. Coincidently, a teak set I purchaed at the same time and have used on my unprotected patio since then, still looks great and functions perfectly.
