(More customer reviews)I received this table in the mail a few days ago and thought I'd write up some preliminary thoughts.
(1) Packaging and shipping: I ordered this and got it two days later. (Hurrah for Prime shipping!) The packaging was *amazing*. The box was packed in another box with a great deal of foam between them. This was good because the outer box was pretty beat up by the time it got to my door. But the table itself was in perfect condition.
(2) Assembly: assembly took *maybe* 15 minutes. You get the table top and then you have to screw in the legs and the 'x' support that connects the legs. There was a moment of panic when I thought that they didn't mail the legs...but they were packaged inside the drawer of the table. The assembly was a breeze - all the holes matched up and there were even a few added features (pegs on the 'x' support that made attaching them to the table much easier than if there weren't pegs) that made the assembly even easier.
(3) Look: it looks very similar to the picture. The wood might be a touch deeper, and the difference in the wood on the top isn't quite as dramatic as is shown. But it's a beautiful table. The drawer is quite convenient and deep. There are pull outs on either side of the table that expand the size of the table just a little bit (enough to hold a couple of wine glasses each, perhaps).
(4) Quality: I'm impressed! It looks really nice with no gouges or poorly added glaze. The wood itself is good quality and it's all wood...not particle board. (Even the bottom of the drawer is wood!) There are silver caps on the legs that will hopefully prevent chipping if the table gets moved a lot. And the drawer pull is also a nice, heavy metal. Especially for the price, I'm quite impressed with the quality and look of this table.
Overall: I was quite reticent to buy the table because there wasn't any review. I'm quite glad I did - it's a wonderful new addition to my living room!
Because I've only had the table a few days, I can't say anything about how might hold up over time. If something happens that makes me want to change the star rating or amend my comments, I'll come back and edit the review.
