I tested it out and found that it was very sturdy; I couldn't do anything to it to make it feel like it wouldn't hold me up. It was convenient to push both pieces together to make a large bench to add extra seating when I had people over. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs extra storage, seating, or just something to put your feet on. It is a great value for the price and even better value if you buy the two pieces together.
